DUTIES

1. Coordinates procedural matters regarding the day-to day operations of the Pediatric Motor Disorders Research Program, including procurement, travel, and coordination of scheduling both the clinical and research appointments for the team.

2. Serves as the face of the program and primary point of contact for patients, families, research sponsors, and collaborators. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to properly direct inquiries.

3. Maintains or oversees the maintenance of project records, lists and files. Prepares related reports and performs evaluation of project effectiveness.

4. Is conversant with and able to communicate to the group the applicable policies and procedures of the department and University.

5. Although this is not a patient care position, the project coordinator must be comfortable dealing with sensitive patient information.

6. Coordi! nates seminars, workshops, luncheons and other meetings for th! e Pediatric Motor Disorders Program.

7. Responsible for generating the program's staff meeting agendas and for recording minutes of the meetings.

8. Assists in monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance within prescribed budget parameters and University policies.

9. Serves as the back-up payroll reporter for the team.

10. May assist in the preparation of grant proposals, research materials, outreach publications, and invoices.

11. May provide computer support for departmental/project objectives and determine appropriate software needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Six years related experience or equivalency (1 year of college education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Bachelor's degree in a related area is preferred.

PREFERENCES

Familiarity with the procurement and travel systems at the University of Utah. F! amiliarity with EPIC. Ability to work with a team, multitask and prioritize. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Comfortable communicating directly with patients and their families. Fluency in Spanish.
