Description: Timpanogos Regional Hospital is in need of Unit Secretary ICU - Part-time right now, this position will be assigned in Utah. For detail informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Job Summary: Provides secretarial support in the ICU/CCU department setting. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Uses basic computer skills/knowledge and medical terminology to promote unit function. Prepares and compiles records in the specified Department.
Acts under the direction of physician and nursing staff. May need to monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screen or telemetry monitors in the ICU/CCU and Pediatrics. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, hospital policies, procedures and standards.
Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.Minimum Requirements:Medical terminology class preferred.Skills:Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.Excellent interpersonal skills.Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.Knowledgeable of medical terminology.Demonstrates telephone etiquette skills.Knows basic EKG interpreting.Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients’ rights
