Davis Hospital and Medical Center opened in 1976 and has been providing high-quality healthcare in Layton for over 30 years now. Before the hospital was ! built, residents of Davis County had to travel to Ogden or Salt Lake City for hospital services. With Davis, local residents have convenient access to expert medical services close by and always available.
Since opening, Davis has grown, right along with the community. As the hospital added services and upgraded its facilities, it kept pace with the increasing healthcare needs of this growing area. Currently, the hospital is constructing a three-story tower addition. The $36.2 million expansion includes 67 additional beds, a brand new 14-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Women's Surgical Services Unit, and expanded pediatric, medical/surgical and other inpatient services. The expansion will include a conversion of semi-private hospital rooms to private suites. Completion of the beautiful tower addition is scheduled for spring of 2009.

RN, Case Manager
RN, Case Manager will work mostly days. Must be available to take call and work some weekends. RN, Case Manager assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the needs of patients for discharge planning and utilization review including those who may have Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, or private insurance to cover their stay on various units. Discharge planning is coordinated with physicians, nursing staff, the patient, and the patients significant others or close family members. Utilization review procedures include those slated for discharge planning in addition to knowledge of criteria for Medicare, Medicaid coverage and that of HMO or private insurers.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Utah.
Requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Treats patients, families, and coworkers! with dignity and respect.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner
Preferences
Previous Case Manager experience a plus.
Knowledge base concerning Federal, InterQual, state, and private reimbursement systems preferred.
Five years general nursing experience preferred, but not required.
