Job Summary
The part time Office Assistant will provide administrative! support to faculty and staff at the NEMSIS Technical Assistance Center, within the Pediatric Critical Care Division at the University of Utah, located in Research Park.
Responsibilities
Incumbent will perform a wide variety of general administrative functions including; communicating with multiple state employees by telephone, email or webex, creating and maintaining files and performing general office duties such as coping, faxing, and scanning documents. Responsibilities will also include; viewing website content and suggesting revisions, securing conference lines, updating brochures, maintaining office equipment â" stocking paper and changing toner cartridges, trouble shooting and arranging for service calls as needed. Responsibilities may also include assisting with inventorying and ordering office supplies, and scheduling and arranging for meetings and conferences which may require ordering and picking up refreshments and/or lunches for such meeting! s. Position will require periodic commuting to/from administra! tive offices within the University of Utah to deliver documents and accounting procurements. Other duties may include assistance in preparing materials and binders for meetings, ordering articles and/or books, word processing, data entry, internet searches, and other office support duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency required. One-year full-time customer service experience, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
Dependability, self-motivation, ability to prioritize multiple demands, decision making capability, and the ability to respond to both easy and more complex tasks that may require additional learning. Knowledge of (or experience with) healthcare or emergency medical services is preferred.
Strong computer skills and experience with MS office products; word, excel, power point and publisher is required. Excellent organizational skills also required.
