New York City's leading traffic management firm is seeking experienced Traffic Control Flaggers for work at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Staten Island, NY. To be considered for the position, candidates should be able to present a valid and unexpired Flagger certification card from an accredited course provider and should have prior Flagger or other traffic management experience. An OSHA-30 certification card and/or Site Safety Training (SST) card are preferred, but not required.
We are looking for Candidates who can work either shift.
- 4am x 8am
- 4pm x 8pm
- Candidates must be able to work bot shifts
- Pay for is $20hr
Work is performed outdoors and in all weather conditions. Candidates must be able to work on their feet, in a fast-paced environment, for the duration of their shift. Please be professional in appearance, punctual, responsible, and have effective interpersonal and communication skills. For this project, a cell phone is required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitate the smooth, secure flow of traffic in high-volume areas
- Understand and apply safe traffic control practices
- Ability to stop, hold and release traffic while working with traffic control devices and other traffic professionals in the area
- Ability to control signaling devices such as flags, paddles, cones, and pedestrian chains
- Watch for unsafe pedestrian and driver behaviors
- Be aware of changing work, traffic, and weather conditions
- Receive and communicate instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously
- Assist pedestrians and motorists with directions and information concerning activity in the area
