Join our Corporate Development team in New York
The D. E. Shaw group seeks a talented associate to join its Corporate Development team, which develops new investment strategies and investment products for the firm. Our firm has a longstanding commitment to adding new and innovative investment strategies and products. What you’ll do day-to-day
You will propose, research, and execute new investment strategies; develop and launch new products; shape corporate strategy; and regularly present recommendations to the firm’s senior management.
Who we’re looking for
- An MBA, an impressive record of academic and/or professional achievement, and two to five years of work experience are required.
- Candidates should be creative idea-generators with excellent critical thinking, project management, and communication skills. They should also be entrepreneurial and highly motivated, and focused on proposing and developing new and innovative investment strategies.
- Impressive candidates who do not meet all of the above criteria may be considered for the role if they can demonstrate sufficient relevant skills and translatable experience.
- The expected annual base salary for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401k contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
