Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Description: Intermountain Home Care is at present recruited Dental Clinic & Residency Manager - Primary Children's Medical Center right now, this position will be designated in Utah. More details about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Manages all operational aspects of the Dental Clinic; in conjunction with the Ambulatory Services! Department Director and Pediatric Dental Residency Medical Director at Primary Children's Hospital. Develops and oversees expands programs and services to improve the care delivered to patients, manages the staff and ensures that the staff competencies, equipment and facility support the provision of extraordinary care. Partners with key stakeholders to provide that patients and families have a positive experience.

Job Essentials

Operational Effectiveness : Executes day-to-day operational strategy. Uses resources effectively and assists with managing expenses to meet financial goals of the clinics. Leads collaborative problem-solving among key stakeholders. Advocates for resources to promote efficient, effective, safe and compassionate care and service based on current best practice standards. Works closely with Ambulatory Services Department Director and Pediatric Dental Residency Medical Director to create, implement and manage the annual capital! /operating budget, strategic plans and organizational goals.
Clinical Excellence : Ensures employee level performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives and all applicable internal and external standards (e.g. Joint Commission, OSHA, CODA, CMS, DOPL, etc.) Collaborates with the Ambulatory Services Department Director, Pediatric Dental Residency Medical Director, Dental Faculty and clinical experts to identify and implement quality improvement. Adopts professional and organizational best practices to improve patient safety and enhance customer service.

Service Excellence : Models Intermountain Healthcare's mission, vision and values. Incorporates the Healing Commitments, Healing Connections and Primary Children's philosophy (The Child First and Always) into all aspects of service delivery. Provides input to and assists with implementation of department strategies to improve patient satisfaction.

Employee Engagement : Mentors and supports staff. Models and fosters a culture of ! professionalism and employee engagement. Ensures competent and sufficient number of staff through recruitment, retention and development strategies to meet care and service needs. Conducts staff performance evaluations as assigned, utilizing Ambulatory Services Department Director and HR Consultant as needed. Supports professional educational opportunities. Utilizes participative management techniques and shared decision-making to solicit staff input. Keeps staff informed of executive level activities regarding department strategic direction and operational processes.

Physician Engagement : Collaborates and partners with Ambulatory Services Department Director, Pediatric Dental Residency Medical Director, dental faculty and residents to achieve clinical, operational, service goals and resident education. Community Stewardship: Encourages staff to participate in community outreach and volunteer activities that advance the Primary Children's mission (e.g. heal! th fairs; middle and high school education).

Minimum Requireme! nts

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Intermountain Healthcare will verify upon hire

Three years of leadership in healthcare or in a large dental practice.

Experience in managing budgets and financial aspects of healthcare departments.

Experience in developing, writing and implementing strategic plans.

Computer skills in working with spreadsheets, word processing, email and presentations .

Physical Requirements

Hearing/Listening, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Speaking, and Standing

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited institution

Experience coordinating a dental or medical residency program .
