What does a day-in-the-life look like?
- Specific Administer consistent treatment of people regarding all policies and procedures.
- Exemplify the total quality image and direction, as a 'focus' quality department member.
- Manage the deployment of quality-related systems and procedures to all plant levels and processes.
- Ensure KPI tracking is up to date and is being utilized.
- Facilitate the required reaction to customers’ concerns and/or issues Coach coordinators in problem-solving methodology.
- Maintain and improve the performance of Quality ratings with the customers.
- Assure the quality of products from raw materials receipt to finished product delivery.
- Maintain and improve the quality operating system.
- Assure the solution of quality problems in products (external and internal)
- Promote continuous improvement in our processes.
- Provide support in the implementation of new projects.
- Manage data collection system and ensure timely and accurate data at all times.
- Manage containment activity.
- Quality Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals.
- Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them. 100% on-time delivery to the customer.
- Target 0 PPM on parts for all our customers (Metalsa and customer standard: 25 or less PPM)
- Manage the impact of engineering changes in your area.
- Manage line quality techs for your area.
What you will bring:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of automotive-related quality experience including familiarity with Big 3 system requirements such as Q-1, TS16949, Control Plans, FMEAs, etc.
- 3-5 years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Dimensional gauging-related experience, including gage control, G.R.&R's, C.M.M.'s, etc.
- S.P.C. experience, including control charting, control limit, and Cpk calculations, etc.
Education:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree – preferred.
