Description: University of Utah is looking of Child Abuse Pediatrician/Child Psychiatrist right now, this job will be placed in Utah. The Division of Child Protection and Family Health in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine, is recruiting a Child Abuse Pediatrician/Child Psychiatrist. The provider will provide medical consultation to children on an inpatient and outpatient basis who are undergoing evaluation for suspected child maltreatment. Additionally, he/she will provide psychiatric evaluation and management of trauma-affected children. Members of this Division serve in a consultative role for medical professionals and com! munity professionals ( CPS , law enforcement) throughout the I! ntermountain region. Clinical services are provided at Primary Children’s Hospital, University of Utah Burn Unit, and Children’s Justice Centers throughout Utah. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work, including teaching, research, administration, as well as advocacy. There will be protected time for clinical research with mentoring available within the Division, the Department and the Medical School.

Qualified candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
