Description The role of the Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) is to provide outstanding support to physicians and healthcare providers while providing exceptional! care to patients and customers within the clinical scope of a Rad Tech. The Rad Tech performs a variety of patient care related tasks including preparation of patients, performance of diagnostic tests and completion of appropriate documentation. Rad Techs are responsible for ensuring the smooth operations in the fast paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter. Key Responsibilities Performs radiographic procedures under a variety of conditions for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric demographics Prepares patients to be seen by physicians Administers casting and bracing as required by the healthcare provider Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care Keeps patients informed of wait times and manages visit expectations Performs diagnostic tests and processes and enters results Prepares injections and prescription refills as required by th! e healthcare provider Communicates patient concerns and needs ! to the healthcare provider Timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasksAssists in routine clerical functions such as filing of medical information in patient's records, Completes assigned training and education Performs other duties as determined by the Practice Manager or Clinic Director
Minimum Requirements: This position requires verifiable successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program High School diploma or GED equivalent is required Current Utah State Radiologic Technology license is required Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and via email Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters Demonstrated computer skills with data entry software Must be able to flex schedule in accordance with patient and provider schedulesInstitutional accreditation, degree obtainment and license credentials will be verified upon hire Preferred Qualifications: One o! r more years experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting One or more years of Radiology Technologist experience Demonstrated orthopedic casting experience One or more years experience using electronic medical records (EMR) Physical Requirements: Work up to a 12 hour shift Sit up to 6-8 hours a day Stand and walk up to 4-6 hours a day Speak and listen to internal and external customers Bend to reach supplies/materials, reach with hands and arms throughout the day Lifting, pushing, pulling Grasp and manipulate tools Key information into a computer workstation, use computer peripheral toolsPlease Note: All positions subject to close without notice Must be willing to float to other locations
